iPad Mini 5 release date, specs rumors: Device to feature smart connector for keyboard panel
Since Apple has unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 7, the tech industry is now wondering what the tech giant has in store for its other gadgets. Rumors are rife that the tech giant is going to add more features to its upcoming devices such as the iPad Mini 5.
Macworld suggested that the iPad Mini 5 will come with a smart connector, which will allow users to attach the device to an external keyboard panel. The latest feature has reportedly been added to the device to appeal to the working community.
The news outlet also reported that the iPad Mini 5 will be thinner compared to its predecessors. Although it will be thinner, its battery life and its performance is expected to be as good as or even better than its past units.
The device will be powered by an A9 processor, which will improve the resolution as well as the iPad's speed. The iPad shall feature 3D Touch pressure-sensitive screen technology. Furthermore, it will utilize the 7000-series aluminum chassis which was originally for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple is making a point to create devices which are dust-resistant and waterproof. The features are expected to be installed to the upcoming iPad Mini. Another trend which the company is starting is producing devices which have a minimum of 32 GB of storage. Rumor has it that the iPad Mini 5 will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
Furthermore, since the tech giant recently removed the headphone ports in their latest smartphone unit, Macrumors predicted that the change will carry over to the iPad Mini series.
Since the tech giant has yet to comment on the latest allegations, Apple junkies should treat the latest reports as speculation until proven otherwise.
If the rumors are true, the iPad Mini 5 will launch between April and August 2017.
