iPad Pro 2 release date, specs news 2016: Device to come in three versions

A lot of fans were disappointed that the iPad Pro 2 didn't get any updates from Apple last September but fans have been holding out. People expect it will be released sometime around March 2017.

Reports say that the iPad pro 2 will be coming in three different versions upon its release, all of them featuring an AMOLED screen. One version will have a 7.9-inch display, another will have a 10.5-inch display, and the largest one is said to have a display of 12.9 inches.

Some speculate that the device will also aim to be lighter and slimmer than those that came before it. Users will also not be happy to hear that Apple would also be dropping the audio jack of the new device.

One of the most criticized features of the iPhone 7 was the lack of its audio jack in lieu of use of wireless earbuds. Users say that the move is more of a cash grab for Apple, as the earbuds are prone to getting lost and Apple is the only company that manufactures them.

As for software, the iPad Pro 2 will feature an updated operating system akin to that of the iPhone 7. It will allow easier zooming, panning and scrolling for users.

The device is said to run on an A9X processor with higher-end variants running on the A10X. The device is also said to have a base storage of 16 GB.

Other features the iPad Pro 2 is said to have is an Apple Pen as well as waterproof capabilities just like the iPhone 7.

No official release has been announced by Apple so far, so fans only have to rely on the news that has been leaked online.

The iPad Pro 2 is speculated to come out in March 2017.
