iPad Pro 2 release date, specs & features rumors: Apple may unveil the iPad Pro 2 on March 2017
The iPad Pro has been doing quite well for Apple and industry insiders believe that it will only be a matter of time before the company launches an updated version of the tablet. Sources say Apple may make the announcement on March 2017. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro was launched on March 21 this year, so there is a good chance that the company will introduce iPad Pro 2 in the same month next year.
Reports say Apple may introduce a new 10.9-inch tablet to go along with the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions. Japanese site Mac Otakara also revealed that the bezel on the new iPad Pro may be reduced. The tablet will allegedly sport a bezel where the camera will be, however, the rest of the iPad Pro 2 may be bezel-less. So, that means Apple may remove the home button. Mac Otakara has also reported that the iPad Pro 2 will be thicker than the current versions.
Sources say the new iPad Pro may come out equipped with the new A10X processor. Furthermore, interested buyers will have three storage capacity options to choose from: 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is expected to have a 2,732 x 2,048-pixel resolution display, while the 9.7-inch will have a display resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. Reports also claim that the iPad Pro 2 will retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Moreover, insiders believe that the new iPad Pro may also feature the True Tone display technology found in the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro 2 is expected to have Apple Pencil support, and the tablet will run on iOS 10. The device may also feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with True Tone flash.
As of this moment, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt because Apple has yet to announce the official release date, specs and features of the new iPad Pro.
