The Motorola Droid Turbo has a battery life of 48 hours, leaving Apple's larger iPhone 6 Plus in the dust when it comes to this aspect. But in terms of design and overall specs, the device from Apple is a winner.

Design

The iPhone 6 Plus has the trademark great design from Apple and has an aluminum unibody with delightfully rounded edges. However, its smooth finish and larger body means it cannot be easily held and used with one hand. As for the Droid Turbo, it has a plastic build and comes with either ballistic nylon or Kevlar on its back panel.

Display

Comparing the displays on the devices, the iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch. The Droid Turbo, on the other hand, has a smaller super AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a very high density of 565 pixels per inch.

Platform

The iPhone 6 Plus comes loaded with the iOS 8 operation system while the Droid Turbo has the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. The Droid Turbo has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU while the iPhone 6 Plus has the Apple A8 chipset, dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

Memory

Both devices do not have memory card slots, and so external storage cannot be added. In terms of RAM, the iPhone 6 Plus has 1 GB while the Droid Turbo has 3 GB.

Battery

When comparing battery life, the Droid Turbo has a significant advantage as it has a huge 3900 mAh battery which allows it to last for 48 hours with normal usage, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 2915 mAh battery which normally lasts for 24 hours.

Price

The iPhone 6 Plus is priced at $299 with a two-year contract, while the Droid Turbo costs $199 with a similar contract.
