iPhone 6 Plus vs Galaxy Note 4 Comparison: Specs Review and Features
The iPhone 6 Plus has been the subject to much ridicule for #bendgate over recent weeks, however, the phone remains hugely popular, and many are weighing up whether to purchase the new largest iPhone, or whether to opt for rival, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
This review will give you a closer look at the two phones to see which one may suit you better.
Design
The Galaxy Note 4 is 8.5mm thin while the iPhone 6 Plus is just 7.1mm. iPhones are known for their slim and distinctive designs, however, the iPhone 6 Plus has gained unwanted attention, being subjected to the "Bend Test", which has gone viral on social media.
Due to its ultra thin design and the materials used in the phone, the bend test shows it is more vulnerable to getting bent than other phones such as the Note 4.
As for the material used, the Galaxy Note 4 was manufactured using a combination of plastic and metal (the Note 4 features a metal frame), while the iPhone 6 Plus is made of titanium.
Performance
The iPhone 6 Plus is built with an Apple A8 64-bit chip. The company claims that its performance is 25% faster than the previous iPhone 5S, and it has 50% better graphics performance.
The Note 4, on the other hand, is equipped with a quad core Snapdragon 805 (2.7 GHz). Compared to many Android phones, this is by far one of the most powerful quad core processors to date. However, it is difficult to determine which of the two phones will perform faster just by looking at these specifications and figures. But both will be right at the top among smartphones.
Operating System, Software and Features
iPhone 6 Plus is loaded with Apple's very own iOS 8 while the Note 4 has android 4.4.4, although it will not be long before Android will release the latest version of its mobile operating system—the Androil L (5.0)
iOS 8 has had a few bugs since its release, with many Apple users complaining about the performance of the mobile operating system. Apple has done its best to address these issues and has released a fix with the iOS 8.0.2. On the other hand, Android 4.4.4, more popularly known as KitKat, has been getting rave reviews from users.
