iPhone 6 Plus vs LG Flex 2 Comparison: Specs, Price and Features Review - Apple's Phablet Takes On Curved Rival
LG is looking to redefine how mobile phones look and in doing so it recently brought out a successor to its curved Flex phone line – the G Flex 2. When compared to the iPhone 6 Plus from Apple, it is clear that LG has a fight on its hands.
Design
The iPhone 6 Plus doesn't have a flexible body or screen, but it does have a premium unibody frame crafted from aluminum and lovely rounded edges that feel great in the hand. However, its smooth back panel makes it very slippery and it can easily slip from one's hand. As for the G Flex 2, it has a plastic build and a body and screen that curves from top to bottom. It also has a self-healing coating on its back panel which can get rid of minor scratches in less than 10 seconds.
Display
The displays on both devices are almost alike. The iPhone 6 Plus it has a IPS LCD, screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401pixels per inch. The G Flex 2, on the other hand, has a curved P-OLED screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch.
Specs
A major advantage of the G Flex 2 is that it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The iPhone 6 Plus has the Apple A8 chipset, dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU.
Memory
In terms of RAM, the iPhone 6 Plus has 1 GB while the G Flex 2 will have 2 GB in its 16 GB version and 3 GB in its 32 GB version. As for their memory slots, the iPhone 6 Plus doesn't come with one, while the G Flex 2 has one that can be used to add external storage of up to 128 GB.
Price
The iPhone 6 Plus is priced at $749 without a contract, while recent rumors put the full retail price of the G Flex 2 at $680.
