'Jane the Virgin' season 3 episode 8 spoilers, news: Michael to have a career shift; Rogelio serious about having a child
Michael (Brett Dier) will be going through a career shift after failing his physical exam to get back into the force. Meanwhile, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) might be getting too serious in his desire to have a baby.
Previously in "Jane the Virgin" season 3, Michael was going through a lot of therapy and rest to prepare for his physical exams, which he needed to pass to be able to get back from his job as a homicide detective. But unfortunately, he failed. In the upcoming eighth episode of the show, Michael will decide to have a shift in his career.
In the trailer for "Chapter Fifty-Two," Michael tells Jane (Gina Rodriguez) that he quit his job. Later on, he tells her that he wants to try stand-up comedy. Jane's first reaction was to laugh, but her face changes soon enough after realizing that Michael was serious about it.
Meanwhile, Rogelio had his heart broken again when he saw Xo (Andrea Navedo) kissing with her ex-boyfriend, Bruce (Ricardo Chavira). This pushes him to pursue finding a match who will fulfill his desire to have a baby. But the matchmaker, Darci (Justina Machado), could not find a match for him, so she offers herself instead.
Rogelio seems very dedicated to his plans of having a child, to the point that he uses Kabbalah red strings, which is an ancient Jewish tradition to ward off bad luck brought by the "evil eye." He also gives one to Xo and Alba (Ivonne Coll), but the two look puzzled as to why he did so.
"Jane the Virgin" season 3 is currently on a winter break and will return in January next year. One of the things to anticipate on the show's return is if Rafael (Justin Baldoni) will come clean about not being a Solano or if he will keep it to himself to retain the Marbella and the family fortune.
"Jane the Virgin" season 3 returns on Monday, Jan. 23, on The CW.
