'Jane the Virgin' season 3 return date, news, spoilers: Catalina to leave soon? Gina Rodriquez says she's proud of Jane's accomplishments
Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) cousin Catalina (Sofia Pernas) came for a visit, but she might not stay much longer.
Previously in "Jane the Virgin" season 3, after having long online messages back and forth, Jane's cousin Catalina showed up for a surprise visit at Jane and Michael's (Brett Dier) home. Although her Abuela still doesn't like Jane to get acquainted with the other side of the family, Jane welcomed Catalina with open arms.
However, Catalina's visit only caused trouble for Jane and her family. Not only has Jane become jealous of her cousin's adventurous life, Catalina stirred up Alba's (Ivonne Coll) emotions and flirted with Rafael (Justin Baldoni).
But it seems that this won't last long because it is suspected that Catalina's character will only appear in a total of four episodes all throughout season 3. Catalina has been present for three episodes now, and she has one more to go. She can still create a bigger fuss in Jane's family than she already has with one more appearance.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez has expressed how proud she is of Jane and her accomplishments.
In an interview with Yahoo! Style, Rodriguez shared how essential Jane's first time to have sex is to the development of the character and how happy she is that it turned out just the way she envisioned it to be.
"I really wanted Jane to do it in the way she had maybe envisioned it when she was a child — the man that she loved and the man that she married. ... I was somewhat relieved because then we got to enter all these other storylines. We get to talk about what it is to go into your sexuality as a woman. And for Jane, having already had a child, even though it was silly circumstances, it was awesome that the virginity scenes were not as preachy and they are not perfect," Rodriguez explained according to Primary Wave Entertainment.
'Jane the Virgin' season 3 returns on Jan. 23, 2017 on The CW.
