'Jane the Virgin' season 3 spoilers: Will Rafael lose Marbella?
Unexpected plot twists left fans clamoring for more episodes of "Jane the Virgin" season 3 while the series takes a short hiatus this winter.
In the midseason finale, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) had a trip down memory lane when he and Jane (Gina Rodriguez) had an argument about bringing their son Matteo to church.
Rafael thought that he had a traumatic experience at church when he was a young boy, but he later realized that the event actually happened inside a convent instead of a church. He revealed his realization to Jane and to Michael (Brett Dier) who was investigating the involvement of Rafael's mother Mutter (Fabiana Udenio) in some stolen art from a convent.
Since he confessed to Jane and Michael that he lied to keep his father's name from being linked to the stolen art, he agreed to go back to the convent with Jane to ask the nuns questions. During their tour, Rafael found out the truth that he was actually born in Italy. Yet, he also learned that he is not a real Solano. This could mean that his life would turn upside down, especially since he has no right to the Solano fortune and the Marbella after all.
Meanwhile, Jane's father Rogelio (Jaime Camil) proved that he is serious to have another child in the previous season of "Jane the Virgin" season 3. This is why he asked professional matchmaker Darci Factor (Justina Machado) to help him hook up with women who are willing to be his baby's mama.
But none of the women caught Rogelio's interest, even if Darci already presented several attractive celebrities like Denise Richards, Brooke Burke and Carmen Electra. Then Darci opted to present herself to Rogelio as an option, to which he agreed. But will Rogelio's decision to father a child with Darci last?
The trailer for the midseason premiere of "Jane the Virgin" season 3 showed that Rogelio will be interested in Kabbalah. On the other hand, Michael will tell Jane that he already quit his job as a police detective and decided to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. But based on the trailer, Michael will experience an extreme case of cold feet during his first night on stage.
The CW will air the midseason premiere of "Jane the Virgin" season 3 on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017.
