Jeremy Lin's injuries did not dampen his determination to go back to the game and bring more points for the Brooklyn Nets. The basketball star, dubbed "Linsanity," contributed 21 points during the Indiana Pacers match in October, causing more fans to be impressed by his performance.

However, with his hamstrings hurt, Lin cannot do anything but to watch his team play the season. His absence in the court led to the Nets' 29 losses and only eight wins during the last Eastern Conference.

This is not the first time Lin had injured his hamstring. It was at the Brooklyn Net's fifth game when he suffered the same injury, forcing him to miss 17 games. His second injury led him to be absent in another seven-match.

In an interview with CCTV5, an ESPN Chinese version, the player said that he is recovering faster and hopes to return in several weeks. However, The Nets have not disclosed how his recovering is progressing, according to Nets Daily.

"We have different tests every day. So those include evaluating my muscle strength, getting an X-ray, MRI (exam)," Lin said.

"Then he also shared his frustration about sitting on several games due to his hamstring issue. He said, "If it depended on my feeling, now I (would be playing)."

Vice President of the Taiwanese American Council of Greater New York also told NBC News his hopes to see Lin play. Hsu has contributed in organizing the Taiwanese Culture Night event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the community is hoping to see the basketball star play. Lin may return to the event to face Houston Rockets, his former team.

"If there are some health reasons why he cannot play, we totally understand that," he said. "We still are here and we want to support him." He added that the community, at least, hopes that Lin would welcome them to attend the event.

"Even if just from his mouth he says, 'Welcome to Taiwanese Culture Night from the Nets,' that would mean a lot to the people who bought the tickets to come and to support the team and support him," he continued.
