The sequel to "Jurassic World," where the dino-filled theme park caused chaos upon its spectators, will focus on the relationship between man and dinosaurs. Meanwhile, "Jurrasic World" is confirmed to be made into a trilogy.

"Jurassic World 2" is set to premiere in 2018 and has tapped J.A. Bayona and Colin Trevorrow to direct the title. No official plot details have been announced, but Trevorrow shared with Jurassic Outpost what can be expected from "Jurassic World 2."

Trevorrow described the sequel to be "more suspenseful and scary. It's just the way it's designed." At the same time, the director doesn't think that "bigger, better dinosaurs or bigger, more epic-in-scope action sequences are what people are necessarily looking for" in the "Jurassic World" franchise.

Trevorrow added that the new "Jurassic World" film will start with a fresh slate and that it will focus on how human beings cohabitate with other living things, specifically the dinosaurs.

"Dinosaurs are a parable of the treatment of today's animals: abuse, experiments in medicine, pets, [you] have wild animals in zoos like prisons, military use has been made of them, animals and weapons," Bayona explained.

The director mentioned that he created the story originally for his co-director, Bayona. He had always wanted Bayona to be the director for "Jurassic World 2" even though Trevorrow has not told anyone about getting his co-director for the film.

"The whole thing was just built around his skill set," Trevorrow explained. He then said that Bayona's "A Monster Calls" will explain why he's the perfect guy to take the lead in "Jurassic World 2."

Meanwhile, Universal Pictures chief Donna Langley has confirmed that "Jurassic World" will actually be a trilogy.

Langley said that Trevorrow is already working on an outline with Steven Spielberg.

"They have an idea for the next two movies actually. It was designed as a trilogy, unbeknown to us. It's a happy surprise," Langley shared.

"Jurassic World 2" is set to premiere on June 22, 2018.
