'Just Cause 3' Release Date News: Gameplay Trailer Receives Warm Reception
"Just Cause 3," the next installment in the Just Cause gaming franchise, is due to land during the 2015 holiday season for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Recently a gameplay trailer for it was released to the delight of fans who have remained loyal players since the original game was released over a decade ago.
As for the upcoming game, the trailer revealed that the protagonist has been given an image changeover and he is now more rugged-looking compared to the previous editions of Rico "The Scorpion" Rodriguez.
In "Just Cause 3," Rico will be heading over to an island named Medici in the Mediterranean which is ruled by ruthless dictator General Di Ravello.
Rico is going to bring his firebrand revolutionary stuff to the island as he tries to get rid of the dictator. As expected there will be a lot of explosions, train and aircraft wrecks along the way.
Viewers said the game's trailer was even better than those of many action-oriented films, noting that it was filled with actual gameplay that players will get to experience in the game instead of just cut scenes. The gameplay shows that the protagonist will indulge in everything from dragging vehicles behind aircraft to destroying oil silos and vegetation in a huge open world similar to previous games.
The trailer showed that the map for the game is smaller than the one used in "Just Cause 2." But unlike in the previous version, Rico will be able to scale buildings and explore caves which will dramatically expand the world of the game.
The trailer also showed many of the new weapons and devices that Rico will use including a wingsuit, which has been added to the staple parachute, and grappling hook, which was featured in previous games.
The trailer also showed Rico using a new multi-grenade launcher. It was also hinted that he will have new skills which, for instance, will allow him to stand upside down on the base of a helicopter while shooting.
