'Justice League' release date and news: New images of the heroes appear in Henry Cavill's Instagram
A lot of DC fans are eagerly awaiting the release of "Justice League." With the movie premiere more than a year away, they have nothing to do but wait. New looks from every hero in the roster showed up on Henry Cavill's Instagram page when he took a picture with a bunch of fans in London.
Cavill took the photo with kids Orin and Summer for the Make a Wish Foundation, and fans can see him dressed in his Superman outfit. Some fans pointed out that the cut-outs of Superman and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in the picture were used for the promotion of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," but the promos for Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Batman (Ben Affleck) are entirely new.
The poses may just have the heroes standing up, much like the official image released at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, but subtle changes gave the audiences a whole different look at the characters.
Fans pointed out that the new Batsuit looked like it has more plates and armor than the first Batsuit they saw in "Batman v Superman" and it only makes sense that the Caped Crusader gave himself some upgrades. "Dawn of Justice" saw him stabbed by a common criminal in the infamous warehouse fight scene. In "Justice League," it looks like he'll be going up against otherworldly forces this time. After all, it is best to be prepared.
Besides, the superheroes in the Marvel Universe get a different costume in every movie so perhaps the DC Universe is being more creative as well.
The next movie coming out in the DC lineup is "Wonder Woman," but the hype is also high for "Justice League." With already three movies in, the DC Cinematic Universe is still in need of a box-office homerun.
"Justice League" hits theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
