Kim Kardashian West latest news: Police report that details reality star's Paris robbery released
A police report filed by Kim Kardashian West hours after her robbery in Paris last October 2016 was recently revealed, and the report allegedly details a harrowing first-hand account of her traumatic experience.
As reported by People, French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche published details about Kardashian West's first account of the robbery, which was recorded by the French authorities around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3. This statement was given only hours after she managed to escape from her restraints and sought help.
Kardashian West's robbery took place at the No Address Hotel where the reality star was staying with her sisters, along with their entourage, for Paris Fashion Week. Earlier reports have revealed that the "Keeping up With the Kardashians" star was held at gunpoint by masked men who ended up stealing millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including her $4 million ring.
Based on the report obtained by Le Journal du Dimanche, Kardashian West revealed that she returned to her hotel with her sister Kourtney Kardashian and stylist Simone Harouche. Kourtney and her assistant, Stephanie Sheppard, changed clothes in preparation for a night out. Kardashian West did not join them and reportedly went upstairs to work on her computer.
"I heard a noise at the door, like footsteps, and I shouted, asking, 'Who's there?'" Kardashian West said, according to the report. "No one answered. I called my bodyguard at 2:56 a.m. Through the door, I saw two people arrive, plus the night man who was tied up," she added.
Kardashian West recounted that the two men had police paraphernalia. One of them, who wore ski goggles, demanded from the reality TV icon her $4-million ring which was located on the bedside table. Her captors then tied her up with plastic cables, taped her hands and put tape over her mouth and her legs.
From the ordeal, the two robbers walked away with two diamond Cartier bracelets, a gold and diamond Jacob necklace, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, and a gold Rolex, among some other items.
French authorities have reportedly arrested 17 people in connection with Kardashian West's robbery, and 10 of them have been formally charged.
