'Left 4 Dead 3' release date news update: Third installment to come out in 2017?
Ever since the last installment of the "Left 4 Dead" video game series was released in 2009, rumors about its third game title have already hit online. According to the latest report, "Left 4 Dead 3" will finally arrive in 2017. Although game developer Valve has yet to provide solid details with regard to its development and release date, many players believe that the second sequel of the game has long been overdue.
Prior to the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, there were speculations suggesting that Valve Corporation will announce the third installment at the event. However, fans were left with dismay after the company failed to even mention any information with regard to the next game title.
It has already been confirmed that Valve will handle the next "Left 4 Dead" project after Turtle Rock Studios expressed their decision not to make another game title for the series. The first two installments were developed by Turtle Rock; however, the founder of the company, Phil Robb, has already announced that Valve will be the one working on the next game.
According to a report by Express, there are already rumors circulating all over the Internet saying that the game will be headed by four frontline characters. The reports suggest that the characters will include three male and one female. Each character will possess a unique personality. The female character's name would be Katherine while the rest are the comic book nerd, Keenan, the gangster, Irvin, and Garret Jr. the Kenpo fighter.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has included the original "Left 4 Dead" in the list of game titles for the backwards compatibility program of Xbox One console.
As of the moment, fans are hoping that Valve Corporation will finally release a statement with regard to the next "Left 4 Dead" project. Until then, all rumors and speculations about the game must be taken with a grain of salt.
