'Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 episode 5 spoilers: Darhk, Obsidian and Young Stein to change course of history?
Since the Legends blew up the Oculus and crippled the Time Masters' ability to watch over and exploit the timeline, Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) ragtag crew has been trying their utmost best to thwart one time aberration after another, but not without casualties. Now that their mission will once again cross paths with that of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), what else do they stand to lose?
Titled "Compromised", this week's episode of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will find Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and her team back in 1987 after tracing a timequake to the White House, where they will eventually find out that Darhk has become senior adviser to President Ronald Reagan.
The encounter will not sit very well with Sara, who has a bone to pick with Darhk regarding the death of her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). After their last encounter made Sara lose herself in rage, will she be more clear-minded now and set aside her personal vendetta for the greater good?
The episode synopsis also hints on the return of the arrogant and unexpectedly impulsive younger Martin Stein (Graeme McComb), whom the older one (Victor Garber) will have to contend with before he ends up creating an even bigger change in history.
Elsewhere, historian Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) and displaced Justice Society of America (JSA) member Amaya Jiwe aka Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) track down the 1980s JSA to try and enlist their help. An older Todd Rice, aka Obsidian (Lance Henriksen) may not be so welcoming as hinted by the promotional images released by The CW. Obsidian and Vixen are shown in fighting stance, seemingly ready to knock each other down.

The episode preview also teases the first official collaboration between new partners Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh). How far can this unlikely duo go before they end up jumping at each other's throat? Did Mick make the right choice when he decided to give Ray his old partner's cold gun in last week's episode? How will this play out in the long run especially now that Leonard Snart's (Wentworth Miller) return has indirectly been announced with executive producer Marc Guggenheim's revelation of the upcoming tenth episode's title, "Legion of Doom"?
"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 episode 5 airs on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
