'Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 episode 8 spoilers: The Legion of Doom, Al Capone band up against the Legends
Now that the alien invasion has been averted, the Legends return to their mission of fixing time aberrations throughout history. In the next episode of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," the ragtag band of heroes goes up against the legendary Al Capone and a handful of old foes.
In the upcoming midseason finale of The CW's superhero series, a new time aberration sends the Legends to 1927 Chicago where they eventually realize that they have been set up by their adversaries Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). They will also discover that their enemies have since grown in numbers with the recent additions of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and another very familiar face.
The Legion of Doom is finally coming to "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and they have teamed up with the infamous Capone to gun down Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and her team. While the rest of the Legends are caught up in what they thought is their mission, Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (Franz Drameh) advises Martin Stein (Victor Garber) to tell the time about the daughter he has accidentally brought to life the last time he interacted with his younger self.
Martin will eventually be taken captive, which places Sara in a difficult situation — will she choose to stop the Legion of Doom or save a teammate in need?
The episode trailer also puts one other character, Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), in a tough spot when he comes face to face with old friend and former criminal partner, Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Will Mick be torn between fighting with the Legends and running off with his old friend to do what they do best together — causing trouble?
"I'm here to set you straight," Snart tells his friend in the trailer.
The midseason finale of "DC'sLegends of Tomorrow" airs on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Its title, "The Chicago Way," is a reference to a line of dialogue in the movie "The Untouchables," in which Jimmy Malone, played by Sean Connery, was describing the best way to kill Capone.
