LG V20 release date news 2016: First smartphone to have Android Nougat will be launched in September
The South Korean multinational conglomerate corporation, LG has been pretty quiet when it comes to rumors and speculations. Nobody has expected them to have another smartphone release this year. According to the latest report, the company has been secretly developing their next flagship phone, the LG V20. It is said to be the first ever handset to launch with the new Google operating system, Android Nougat.
The report basically came out of left field as most people focus on the development of Apple iPhone 7 and Samsung's Galaxy Note 7. The V20 is the successor of LG V10, which was release last year.
"The LG V20 upgrades and extends its predecessor's cutting-edge multimedia features a step further, providing distinctive mobile experience and sets a new standard for premium phones for consumers," said the president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company, Juno Cho, during a press release.
As of the moment, LG has stayed pretty reserved on giving significant details with regard to the development and release date of the smartphone.
Earlier this year, LG rolled out the more popular G5, which was supposed to help them improve its declining sales and attract the new generation of smartphone buyers. However, the plan did not go out the way the company wanted to as the release did not have any significant effect to its sales issue.
The company is hoping that the new LG V20 will finally take them back into contention as one of the leading brands in the market today.
Meanwhile, the LG V20 reports also indicate the nearing release of Google's Android Nougat. Although the American search engine has yet to provide significant information with regard to its roll out date, many fans believe that the announcement will happen anytime soon.
The LG V20 is expected to launch in September, according to a report by The Next Web.
