LG V20 vs Google Pixel XL: Comparison and similarities of features and specs

The new Google Pixel XL is finally out which means another flagship phablet has been added in the competition list. Fans are now putting it up against LG's V20 device which also just recently arrived in the market.

According to reports, the two devices are unique on their own. But they do still share similarities such as physical size, which isn't exactly the same but close enough to look similar. The LG V20 is slightly larger, sporting a 5.7-inch display, while the Google Pixel XL comes with a 5.5-inch display. Both also come with QHD displays. The difference lies in the technology used.

LG's product is installed with an IPS LCD display while Google's newcomer comes with an AMOLED display. Both also have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.

Another similarity is the use of a version of the Snapdragon 820 processor. However, it's noted that the Pixel XL is more advanced as it comes with the newer 821 model, meaning it is faster by 10 percent.

Nonetheless, both carry the same Adreno 530 GPU for graphics and 4 GB of DDR4 RAM. Its native storage is 32 GB but the Pixel XL offers 128 GB variant while the V20 has 54-GB storage with expandable memory.

In terms of the camera features, the LG V20 wins with its dual rear camera setup. As detailed in a report, the V20 is equipped with a standard 16-megpixel lens. The other one is a wide-angle lens with an 8-megapixel lens. Aside from that, the device also comes with laser and face detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization and optical zoom. The front camera, however, is just 5 megapixels.

On the other hand, the Pixel XL is packed with a 12-megapixel rear camera while the front has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Both devices also sport a fingerprint sensor and both run on the Android 7.0 Nougat. Google Pixel XL's battery life is longer though with its 3,450 mAh battery. The V20 carries 3,200mAh removable battery.
