LA Lakers trade rumors 2016: Team extends contract for Tarik Black; Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell to be traded?

Though Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell were said to give good contributions to the Los Angeles Lakers, new rumors have been ambiguous concerning their future in the NBA. Some have said that the two have solid positions on the team, but others are saying that the Lakers are ready to trade Randle off to the Denver Nuggets and Russell off to Sacramento. Tarik Black is also rumored to stay on the team.

Reports suggest that the Lakers are facing a huge hole in their team after they lost shooting guard Kobe Bryant to retirement. The Lakers will just have to do with the young talent that they have now, and rumors have been going around that Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell have been out on the trade block.

Some people think that it's very unlikely for Randle and Russell to get traded off the team, but the move is said to be done so that the Lakers can acquire more seasoned players to their lineup.

Lakers coach Luke Walton even said that he saw great potential in the two players, and he even singled out Russell, who has great potential to be the leader of the team one day. He said that Russell's dedication to practice and ability to apply everything he's learned have put him in a really great spot for the future. With that in mind, some speculations have been saying that Russell could be traded off to the Sacramento Kings.

Though rumors have been ambiguous about the future of Randle and Russell, reports have been saying that Tarik Black is staying on the team and that he's getting a contract extension signed. Black has been a great asset in the frontcourt, and the team's general manager, Mitch Kupchak, has been praising his energy and athleticism.

Will Randle and Russell keep their spots on the team? Only time will tell.
