'Love & Hip Hop: New York' news: Amina Buddafly releases new EP, wants to appear on spinoff series?
Amina Buddafly may no longer make any appearance in the next season of "Love & Hip Hop: New York," but she is open to the possibility of appearing in the spin-off series, "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood."
In a recent guest appearance on the iHeart radio show, "The Domenick Nati Show," Amina admitted that following her separation from estranged spouse Peter Gunz at the end of the show's sixth season, she lost any interest in doing the show again. She did, however, confirm that she will be making some appearances in the on-going seventh season.
"You are gonna see me, maybe a couple times. I'm in, like, three scenes," Amina said.
Amina shared that season 7 will see the conclusion of her storyline with former husband Peter. She also said that she has just finished filming the reunion episode with the rest of the cast two weeks ago, so fans can expect to see a little bit of her there.
When host Domenick opened the topic of possibly appearing on the spin-off series, "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood," now that she's residing in Los Angeles, Amina said that she didn't know and to just "wait and see." Since she's friends with some of the girls on the said show, she will not be against the idea of being included in it, but it has to be for the right reasons.
"It all depends on how they would include me," Amina said. "Like, I don't want to be having to date somebody new. I'm not there yet," she added.
Amina has also recently announced via her official Instagram account that she has released a new extended play (EP) record titled "Music in My Room," which can now be downloaded on iTunes. With singles such as "Your Love is Poison," "Back to What I Know," and "More Than You," it seems that this new musical collection will mostly be about her feelings about her estranged husband.
The EP, which has five songs in total, has been getting favorable reviews and currently holds a five-star rating on iTunes.
The next episode of "Love & Hip Hop: New York" airs on Monday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
