'Lucifer' season 2 episode 11 spoilers: Lucifer vs Charlotte match goes full throttle; will Chloe's miracle be Lucifer's misfortune?
Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe's (Lauren German) meeting may not have been as coincidental as it first seemed as revealed in the show's midseason finale. How does Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) plan on using this revelation to finally bring herself and her sons back home?
"Lucifer's" first episode back in 2017 will find Mama Morningstar setting her plans full throttle as the celestial matriarch does not let a moment past before telling everyone involved about the circumstances behind Chloe's miraculous birth. The episode promo also shows her eldest son, Amenadiel (DB Woodside) questioning their motives for manipulating his brother and Chloe towards each other and wondering if they are not perhaps acting in the same self-serving way as his father did when he asked Amenadiel to bless Chloe's parents with a child for Lucifer's sake.
What were God's reasons for practically ordering Chloe's existence? Does the answer have anything to do with how Chloe's proximity makes Lucifer vulnerable to earthly weapons? Will an intimate relationship with Lucifer hurt the both of them in some way? What did Charlotte mean when she said that Chloe was their key to returning home?
Additionally, the now reformed detective, Dan (Kevin Alejandro), will also have to deal with the emotional aftermath of his own actions when "Lucifer" season 2 kicks off its second half next year. Will handing Deputy Warden Smith (Alex Fernandez) over to the Russian mafia be his last sly act against the law that he is fighting to uphold, or will working with the bounty hunter, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), be something he ends up doing on the side?
And will Maze and Amenadiel ever reconcile after clearly taking opposite sides in the mother-son conflict between Charlotte and Lucifer? How long can Linda (Rachael Harris) keep up with her celestial friends' issues before she completely loses her mind?
"Lucifer" season 2 episode 11 titled "Stewardess Interruptus" airs next year on Monday, Jan. 16, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
