Netflix finally announced the renewal of its hit superhero series "Luke Cage."

The streaming giant announced on Sunday that the Marvel drama will continue for a second season. "Luke Cage" is Marvel's third superhero series for Netflix, joining "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," and the upcoming "Iron Fist."

On another note, reports say that a reconstructed set for the Harlem-based superhero drama has been recently spotted on Lenox Avenue. This development sparked rumors that the cast and crew may be returning to the neighborhood to film the series' sophomore season.

Harlem Bespoke blog noticed the set for Pop's Barbershop last week when it was reconstructed in its former spot on the corner of Lenox Avenue and West 119th Street. The set is situated in an unoccupied storefront of a brownstone just down the block. For the uninitiated, Pop's Barbershop served as a recurring location in the freshman run of "Luke Cage." Before the titular hero decided to use his powers to fight against criminals, the said barbershop was Luke's workplace.

Although the Harlem set is reportedly being put up for "Luke Cage," some fans speculate that it could also be for Netflix's upcoming miniseries "The Defenders," which will air next year. The show will feature four of the network's superhero characters: Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Daredevil. In the coming weeks, "Luke Cage" fans can check out some of the program's other film locations, including the fictional Chinese restaurant Genghis Connie's on the corner of 171st Street and Broadway in Washington Heights.

Starring Mike Colter as the titular character, "Luke Cage" centers on an African-American ex-con who became an experiment subject while behind bars. As a result, he developed bulletproof skin and superhuman strength that he uses to combat his evil enemies and protect the people of Harlem. The series has received mostly positive reviews due to its timeliness and inclusive casting.

Netflix has yet to announce an official premiere date for "Luke Cage" season 2.
