MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs news: Contradicting reports about laptop's launch
Another disappointing report has surfaced with regard to the release of the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro 2016. Previous rumors suggested that the new flagship laptop from the Cupertino-based company will be launched in September along with other Apple products. However, according to the latest reports, the device will not be released until next year.
Nonetheless, nothing has been set in stone yet and Apple could still possibly release the MacBook Pro 2016 in September. There are even speculations saying that the launch date might be earlier than expected.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is said to come in two variations – the 15-inch and 13-inch models. Both will retain the Retina display, along with other impressive specs and features that include the fingerprint scanner, 5K display technology and the new MacOS Sierra.
In a report by WCCFTech, Apple has been experiencing a drop in sales this year. Asus has recently surpassed the company as the fifth largest computer maker in the world. The top spot belongs to Lenovo, which is followed by HP, Dell and Asus.
There are speculations suggesting that Apple may release the MacBook Pro 2016 prior to their September event in hopes of improving the company's sales before the year ends.
Meanwhile, Apple is said to launch multiple devices in September including Apple Watch, iPad Air 3, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Mini 5 and the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016. Several tech observers have expressed their concern that the decision to release many products in one event may cause a negative effect on the company.
However, these reports have yet to be confirmed by Apple. As of the moment, fans are advised to take all rumors and speculations with a grain of salt until the company decides to confirm them.
