MacBook Pro 2016 release date and specs rumors: Flagship laptop no show at WWDC, to come in October?
Many fans are disappointed that Apple decided to skip on MacBook Pro 2016 at the ongoing WWDC in San Francisco, California. Instead of the rumored MacBook Pro, the Cupertino-based company revealed the new Mac OS X operating system, which was called macOS Sierra. However, the revelation of the new Mac OS also signifies that the launching of a new flagship laptop is coming anytime soon.
According to reports, the new MacBook Pro 2016 will feature an unlocking Touch ID and an OLED touch panel. Rumor has it that the upcoming laptop will have a preinstalled programmable OLED touch bar, which is said to replace the old function keys located above the keyboard. As of the moment, Apple has yet to provide significant details regarding the development and release of the device. Nonetheless, fans and tech observers are pretty positive that the company will soon provide concrete information about it.
For now, not much has been revealed about the MacBook Pro 2016; however, there are already rumors and speculations that have been circulating for quite some time now.
In a report by University Herald, the new device will feature Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C port ports. There are also rumors suggesting that the new laptop will carry a larger RAM compared to Apple's previous releases.
Previous reports also suggested that MacBook Pro 2016 will replace the MacBook Air as Apple's primary laptop line. Apparently, Apple will discontinue the MacBook Air line and focus more on their upcoming projects; however, there are speculations emerging that the company will make the MacBook Air as an entry-level laptop.
Although it is quite unlikely that Apple will reveal the laptop at the ongoing company event, many fans including the popular Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo are convinced that the American tech giant will certainly roll out the highly anticipated device around October this year.
