The rumored development and release of Apple's upcoming flagship laptop, MacBook Pro 2016, has been surrounded with several speculations for quite some time now. Previous reports suggested that the Cupertino-based company will launch the device next month along with the highly anticipated iPhone 7. There are also reports saying that the release might be delayed until 2017; however, new reports have emerged suggesting that the rollout will finally happen before the year ends.

According to reports, most of the rumored specs and features will be delivered; however, there are speculations saying that the MacBook Pro 2016 may not end up running on Intel's latest processor, the Kaby Lake. According to a blog posted on Barron's, RBC Capital's Amit Daryanani said that the new Apple laptop will definitely come out in 2016 with or without the powerful Kaby Lake chipset.

"New Macbook Pro will be available around October/November 2016 timeframe, Daryanani claims. "From a features perspective we expect: 1) thinner device for both 13″ and 15″ form factors, 2) new LED touch screen display that replaces function keys, 3) option for more powerful/efficient Polaris GPU from AMD, 4) Touch ID fingerprint technology, and 5) USB-C technology. We also expect the new Macbook Pros to be shipped with INTC processors and MacOS Sierra which will include Siri functionality, improved image management software, and enhanced iCloud Drive functionality among other features."

He also added that a new Apple laptop packed with upgrades could help the company get better revenues. He predicted that apple's new MacBook line will experience rebound and growth next year.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reported that two versions of Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 might come out – first model to arrive this year, while the other one in early 2017. According to the publication, the first version could run on the current SkyLake processor and the 2017 version should be powered by Kaby Lake.

As of the moment, Apple has yet to provide concrete details with regard to its development and release.
