'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date, news, update: Release delayed to next year?
Though fans initially believed that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" would be released sometime near the holidays, news has come out that audiences will be getting their hands on the game in March 2017.
Reports are saying that fans have Dark Horse Comics to thank for the release of the news. Dark Horse announced that it was releasing the book "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda" along with the game itself on March 21, 2017. As for U.K. audiences, they will get the game on March 23.
Fans are actually a bit skeptical on the release date, but seeing that Dark Horse hasn't made any changes to the announcement, it's safe to say that the March 21 release date is legitimate. There's also news that Bioware is planning a big announcement on Nov. 7, so fans are expecting that the official release date will come by then.
As for the game itself, reports are saying that it will be focusing on a new human hero, and he/she will also have connections with N7. According to Bioware, the game will also focus on a new batch of characters that players will "work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with."
Classic "Mass Effect" fans will also see the return of Mako, albeit a speedier version of the six-wheeler.
At the 2014 San Diego Comic Con, producer Mike Gamble said that the new Mako will be more agile. It will not be having the cannon like in the first game, but it will be able to do a lot of more movements like hovering or maybe even jumping. He didn't go into further detail, but it looks like fans have something to look forward to with the new Mako.
Though the March 2017 release date is still leaving some of the fans skeptical, they can still trust that Bioware has an announcement planned this coming Nov. 7.
