Microsoft Surface Book news: Updates battery life; discounted in Microsoft UK
The Microsoft Surface Book laptop has been around since last year but the Redmond-based technology company is not forgetting it when it comes to updates.
According to reports, Microsoft released new updates for the Surface Book as well as for its other products, including the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Pro 3. The updates made for the Surface Pro 4 are basically the same with the Surface Book.
As detailed in the company's official blog site, the update will be bringing a lot of enhancements to the device. The touch stability will be improved, which means the device will be better after waking it from sleep or hibernation.
The update will also optimize log file storage space management and improve screen brightness after hibernation or sleep. The pen pairing will also be enhanced, as well as the stability and performance whenever users change between power states.
Users can also expect to have an improved battery life as soon as they get the update on the site. Afterwards, they will be directed to the Download Center.
Those who are interested in picking up the gadget can take advantage of the discounted price offered at the Microsoft UK Store. As noted in a report, the branch is selling the base model of the hybrid laptop with an Intel Core i5 processor for just £1,104 ($1,365). It's actually 15 percent off from its original price.
The laptop will be coming with 8 GB of system RAM and 128 GB of storage space. Other specs include a 13.5-inch PixelSense touchscreen display, Surface Pen and Windows 10 Pro operating system.
