Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, news: device to debut Windows 10 Creator update spring 2017?
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released just in time for the spring update for Windows 10, according to the latest reports out of the rumor mill.
It is being said that the two-in-one device will make use of the features that will come with the Windows 10 Creator update dropping early next year.
In the past, Microsoft was already rumored to hold off the release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to wait for the Windows 10 update in question. This is to make sure that the device will have new features out of the box.
"Windows introduces the next wave of innovation with the Windows 10 Creators Update, giving you new creativity and gaming experiences built around the people who matter most. Do amazing things in 3D and virtual reality, quickly connect and share with your key people, and enjoy epic gaming with 4K fidelity and game broadcasting," Microsoft teases of the update.
While waiting for the update, Microsoft opted to release an updated version of the Surface Pro with an Intel i7 processor last October, which is the same month last year the Surface Pro 4 was outed.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was allegedly delayed to spring 2017, where, not only it can avail of the new features out of the Windows 10 Creator update, but also give the iPad Pro 2 a run for its money.
It is expected that like the Surface Studio, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released shortly before Apple unveils its new set of iPads next year to take the spotlight from its rival.
Additionally, with the benefits the Windows 10 Creator update has to offer, it was no shock that Microsoft chose to wait for it instead of releasing the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 on the date expected with the knowledge that it could still be better.
