'Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor' Game of the Year Edition Release Date News: New Edition Coming from Warner Bros

Warner Bros, the studio behind the blockbuster "Lord of the Rings" film series, announced recently that it would release a special Game of the Year Edition of "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" on May 5. Warner Bros, the game's publisher, said the special edition of the game would include all the DLC items for the game released so far.

"Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" drew a deluge of glowing reviews from various gaming sites when it was released in the fall of last year. Some reviewers even dubbed it the best game of the year. Developed by Monolith Studios and released by Warner Bros, the game was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to current generation consoles and the PC.

In making the announcement, Warner Bros said the Game of the Year Edition would only be released for current generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well as PC. Included in the $49.99 price tag are all the DLC items, such as the story add-on "The Lord of the Hunt" and "The Bright Lord" campaign.

As for skins, they include the one for the "Captain of the Watch," "Lord of the Hunt," "Power of Shadow," "Lithariel" and "The Bright Lord." Missions included in the edition are Guardians of the Flaming Eye, Skull Crushers and the Berserks.

In terms of Runes, Hidden Blade, Orc Slayer, Defiant to the End, Elven Grace, Ascendant, Flame of Anor, Rising Storm, One with Nature, and Deadly Archer are included.

Challenge modes include Test of the Ring, Test of Defiance, Test of Power, Test of Speed, Endless Challenge, Test of the Wild, and Test of Wisdom.

"Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" won the coveted Game of the Year title at the Game Developers Choice Awards last March 4. Many online game sites dub it as a good deal as it provides a lot of savings to gamers.
