Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors: Bucks may lose Monroe to Western Conference team

After only spending a season with the Milwaukee Bucks, it appears that Greg Monroe may be on the move again after being linked to a Western Conference team.

Yibada reported on the rumors claiming that Monroe may end up moving to the New Orleans Pelicans, with the Brooklyn Nets being the third team in a three-way trade to make it possible.

The possible trade may involve the Pelicans sending over Tyreke Evans to the Nets as they are in dire need of a capable player. The Bucks may end up getting Alexis Ajinca from the Pelicans, and Bojan Bogdanovic from the Nets could give the Bucks the depth that they need.

However, the highlight of this deal is Monroe teaming up with Anthony Davis. The possibility of this happening would be great for the Pelicans.

Monroe, 26, is still young and has solid averages in his career so far. In his career, counting from the 2010–11 season, Monroe scores 14.5 points and grabs 9.1 rebounds per game.

In his lone year with the Bucks, Monroe was close to those averages at 15.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, but it was evident that he was not fitting in with the team.

As a matter of fact, Monroe averaged fewer minutes with the Bucks in his career outside of his rookie season.

And if he ends up with the Pelicans, it would make for a great partnership with Davis as Monroe's weaknesses, particularly in the defensive end, can be covered up by the quickness and tenacity of Davis.

On the other end of the floor, the two would definitely flourish as they will give defenders problems in stopping both big men from trying to score from either block on the floor.

It should be very interesting to see how things will play out soon, but with Monroe on the trading block for some time now, it is only a matter of when and which team will pick him up.
