'Mistresses' season 4 episode 10 spoilers: April makes a life-changing decision; Joss and Harry continue to drift apart

Josslyn "Joss" Carver (Jes Macallan) continues on a downward spiral, no thanks to the pills that Harry Davis (Brett Tucker) told her to take in the recent episode of "Mistresses" season 4. On the other hand, April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes) starts questioning her decisions.

Last Monday's episode 9 titled "The Root of All Evil" saw Harry taking it out on Joss after assuming that his fiancée was the reason why his sister Kate Davis (Tabrett Bethell) and Scott Thompson (Justin Hartley) broke up. Kate confessed to her brother that she has been sleeping with Scott — who happens to be Joss' ex-fiancé — and told him that Joss told her to stay away from Scott.

Harry ends up furious with Joss for his sister's predicament, even more so when Kate announced that she was moving out of their place and out of Los Angeles to clear her head. Technically, Joss was the reason for the break-up, but not in the way Kate made Harry believe. Scott ended things with Kate, because apparently, he was still in love with Joss. Through it all, the only thing Harry could do was ask his anxiety-riddled fiancée to take anti-anxiety medicines to help her cope with whatever problems she's facing.

Meanwhile, April is considering making major decisions in her life after she broke up with Marc Nickleby (Rob Mayes) because of her mother Marjorie's (Lynn Whitfield) constant meddling.

In the upcoming episode 10, titled "Confrontations," April will apparently be making a life-altering decision — whether to choose her mother Marjorie or Marc. Her mother is dying while her boyfriend is more manchild than a man, so that should make choosing easier. However, her mother's intolerant and judgmental behavior is making her want to revisit her choices.

With April busy preparing the living arrangements of her sick mother, Marc will supposedly focus all his energy on music and his band, which means he will be spending plenty of time with his ex-girlfriend. Could Marc be on the rebound already? Check out the promo video below.

The video also hints that Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim) will continue bearing the odd behavior of her sister Lydia (Alanna Masterson) who seems to be more worried about the state of Karen's romantic escapades than changing Vivian's diaper. It appears that in the coming episode, she will even try to sabotage Karen's relationship with Adam (David Sutcliffe).

"Mistresses" season 4 episode 10 will air on Monday, Aug. 22, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
