'Modern Family' season 8 episode 14 spoilers: Phil rethinks his Dunphy Tower dream; Cam sustains head injury
Phil (Ty Burrell) rethinks his original dream project on the upcoming episode of ABC's "Modern Family" season 8.
Titled "Heavy is the Head," this week's episode will see Phil and Jay make a realization about their project, Dunphy Tower. According to the official synopsis, Phil and Jay's (Ed O'Neill) property investment might end up being a bust, despite the duo's high hopes. As a result, Phil is forced to consider changing his original dream.
Meanwhile, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) winds up win the hospital after sustaining a head injury. However, due to a traumatic incident when he was young, Cam refuses to have an MRI. Elsewhere, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) is determined to finally impress Claire (Julie Bowen) with the perfect birthday present, so she gives her stepdaughter a luxurious spa day at the office. She later learns that Claire had to implement some harsh budget cuts at work, so a massage at her desk may not be sending the right message to the other employees of Pritchett's Closets & Blinds.
ABC released a new promo for tomorrow's episode, and it shows the groundbreaking ceremony for Phil and Jay's Dunphy Tower. Phil excitedly shows his family his new endeavor and convinces Jay that he didn't make a mistake trusting him. "We're gonna make so much money that women we don't even know are gonna want to sleep with us," Phil tells his father-in-law, "not that I would do that because I would be disrespectful to your daughter," he went on to say.
In the previous episode, Phil's newfound confidence after resolviing an issue at home gave him the push he needs to finally enter commercial real estate. Together with Jay, he decided to buy up a property and develop in into a strip mall called Dunphy Tower.
The eighth season of "Modern Family" airs every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
