"Mr. Robot" season 2 will end with its 12th episode next week but fans need not fear that the techno thriller is about to reach its conclusion.

According to Sam Esmail who created "Mr. Robot," the series will have "probably about four or five seasons." The psychological drama/thriller from USA Network, for which Esmail serves as showrunner, director, writer and executive producer, has already been renewed for a third season, giving fans more time to work out all the show's mysteries.

At this week's gathering for Emmy nominees who are up for writing honors, Esmail told Variety that he had always envisioned "Mr. Robot" as a feature-length film, which is why he has a good idea of how it will end. He also said that it will take about four or five seasons to get to that ending.

"I like to know where we're going and where we're heading," he said. "I think it's tougher if it's open ended, my brain doesn't work like that but hats off to those who do," he added.

Meanwhile, actress Grace Gummer, who boarded "Mr. Robot" as a new series regular in season 2, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about Dom DiPierro, her character, and said that she is still in the process of trying to figure Dom out.

"She has so many layers to her and so many secrets, that I don't think she even faces herself," the actress said, adding that Dom is the kind of person who put everything into her work and practically has no life outside of the case she is currently working on.

And yet this doesn't make Dom a completely predictable character.

"When you think you know who someone is, you're completely wrong," Gummer said about the determined FBI field agent.

According to the actress, there is much about Dom that will be revealed in the coming episodes which will bridge the gap between her work and her personal life.

Gummer also hinted at what's ahead for the character, teasing "She knows that someone got away. She knows that she maybe f—ed up. She doesn't know what happened."

"Mr. Robot" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
