There is indeed no rest for the wicked in the latest episode of "Naruto Shippuden." Just when things were starting to look up after Team 7's remarkable defeat of Kaguya, a new threat reared its vengeful head to bring about a one-man revolution.

The long-running anime based on Masashi Kishimoto's hit manga has just entered its final arc with the 475th episode titled, "The Valley of the End." Fans of the "Naruto" franchise will remember that this was also the title of the 232nd chapter of the original "Naruto" manga, which depicted the first time that Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha fought in the so-called Valley of the End. Sasuke won the battle using his strongest attack at the time, the Chidori.

In the upcoming definitive episodes of "Naruto Shippuden," the Valley of the End will once again become witness to the final death match between erstwhile allies, Naruto and Sasuke.

The Valley of the End serves as a border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Sound. It formed from the damage left over by the epic fight between the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and the disgraced Uchiha head, Madara Uchiha. Their giant monuments now guard the opposite sides of the waterfall gushing from the valley, each statue frozen in the traditional shinobi sparring's Seal of Confrontation.

In "Naruto Shippuden" episode 475, instead of lending a hand to Naruto, Sasuke instead launched a rebellion by declaring his intention of executing the Five Kage trapped by Kaguya's Infinite Tsukuyomi. He subsequently put the tailed beasts under his genjutsu, then later on trapped them with Chibaku Tensei, all while expressing his distaste for the current shinobi ways. He wanted to become Hokage to rebuild and reform the shinobi world, and he and Naruto ended up going to the Valley of the End to settle their scores.

GameNGuide recently cited an announcement posted on TV Tokyo's official website about the next "Naruto Shippuden" episode being a one-hour special broadcast. The action-packed episode will be all about Naruto and Sasuke's fight. And even though fans of the manga already know who's going to win, seeing the epic fight translated on the small screen still promises to be a whole new different experience.

But will this really be the end of the "Naruto Shippuden" anime? Enstarz speculated that Studio Pierrot is not at all above releasing a few epilogue episodes following the Naruto-Sasuke battle, which could depict Kakashi's succession to the office of Hokage and his Team 7 finally becoming full-blown adults.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 476 titled "The Final Battle" will air in Japan on Thursday, Sept. 29 on TV Tokyo.
