NBA Trade Rumors: More players to change teams as the season continues
The trade season of the NBA is upon basketball fans, and many players are said to be moving to other teams or becoming free agents. Among those players are DeMarcus Cousins, Lance Stephenson, and Nerlens Noel.
The first in the rumor mill suggests that Cousins could find himself out of the Sacramento Kings by the time 2018 rolls in. News says that Cousins will be a free agent in 2018, and his fee is too expensive for any other team to have him, much less fulfill all of his contract demands.
Cousins has averaged 26.9 points, 1.4 blocks, and 11.5 rebounds per game in the last season, but the Olympian center is said to have a problem controlling his emotions whenever the referee calls him on a foul. As of now, the Kings' goal is said to re-sign Cousins to the Kings when 2018 rolls in.
Rumors have also been going around, suggesting that there will be a three-way trade with the Phoenix Suns, the Houston Rockets, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Though the Phoenix Suns are said to have two draft picks for the season, Nerlens Noel will be going over to the Houston Rockets and Brandon Knight will be playing for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Lance Stephenson is also rumored to be traded off to the Brooklyn Nets. The former Indiana Pacers team member played for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, and he has been getting some good stats. However, the Grizzlies chose not to re-sign Stephenson for the season, and the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks are also said to be interested in signing him in onto their teams.
With Stephenson in the Nets, Brooklyn will get the shooting guard that they need to balance out the team. He is predicted to have a good dynamic with Asian NBA star Jeremy Lin.
