'NCIS' season 14 episode 2 spoilers: After crazy premiere episode, team investigates death in Quantico

Fans will see more of Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the original "NCIS" crew in "NCIS" season 14. | CBS

"NCIS" season 14 opened with a bang. Lots of it, actually, and while loyal fans of the show are probably still reeling from Michael Weatherly's exit, the addition of Wilmer Valderrama ("That 70s Show") as Nick Torres cannot be discounted.

Episode 1 titled "Rogue," which aired on Tuesday offered plenty doses of action and humor. Nick, a deep-cover field agent who has been presumed missing since going on a deep undercover mission in Argentian, turned up in Washington, D.C. and was introduced to the show in the funniest way possible.

He did so by killing a guy who was hired to kill him and making a gag about it. Nick even got involved in a fistfight that instantly cemented his claim to Tony DiNozzo's (Weatherly) role. However, the actor has already dispelled speculations that he's out to replace Weatherly, saying that Nick Torres will be his own character.

"[Weatherly] had a fantastic journey with the show. The truth is there's no shoes to fill, I'm definitely wearing my own. I'm excited because as a new member of NCIS I get to bring a new energy to it, a different dynamic," Entertainment Weekly quotes Valderrama as saying.

Jennifer Esposito ("Blue Bloods") was likewise introduced in the premiere episode as Agent Alex Quinn, and in Tuesday's episode titled "Being Bad," Torres and Quinn will be seen adjusting to their new environment, as part of Jethro Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) team. The two "newbies" will also get new seating assignments in the big orange room.

According to Spoiler TV, episode 2 will find the team investigating a murder that took place at the FBI Academy in Quantico. Nevertheless, as they investigate the murder, they also stumble across a bombing plot and a long-running theft ring. Check out the promo teaser for said episode below:

As seen in the video, Quinn will meet Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) at the crime scene. Later on, the team will discover that the victim was poisoned to death, but the thing is they have no idea who the perpetrator is. It looks like the second episode of "NCIS" season 14 will be action-packed as the premiere episode.

"NCIS" season 14 episode 2 titled "Being Bad" airs on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
