'New Girl' season 6 episode 8 spoilers: Will Jess become new school principal?

Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is about to become principal! Or is she?

Now that the Thanksgiving celebrations have passed, it's time for Jess to go back to work in next week's episode of "New Girl." Just like she announces to her friends in the episode preview, she may be on her way to becoming the new principal at her school.

The soon-to-be open position will not come easy for Jess, despite her current position as vice principal. The president of the Parent's Council will stand against her campaign, and it will be up to Jess to impress the said parent and prove herself worthy of the position.

Will Jess succeed in winning the Parent's Council president over? If she does, what kind of principal will she turn out to be? She gives Nick (Jake Johnson) a taste when he insinuates a devious situation and Jess gives him two weeks detention without batting an eye. Can she be just as strict with her students, or will being principal bring on a brand new source of tension and stress to her life?

Meanwhile, Winston (Lamorne Morris) will go on an undercover mission, but what he hopes to uncover is not made clear in the official press release. Could this have something to do with Jess' plans of becoming principal, or could this be about something that personally concerns Winston?

The promotional images seem to suggest that Jess and Winston may be in cahoots to get that principal's position by all means.

Perhaps Nick's struggles in trying to figure out what to give Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone) for a late wedding gift could also be the reason behind Winston's furtive mission. Will Nick send his friend to spy on the married couple to help him come up with the perfect wedding gift?
