With the 2016 season of the National Football League just around the corner, many are wondering how things will unfold for the New York Giants.

Heading into the first week of the new season, many are looking at the Giants as they take on the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East teams.

This is not so much the battle between the two franchises, but it is the battle between Manning and Dak Prescott.

Many see this battle as the changing of the guards, as Prescott is a rookie with so much expectation on him, while Manning is the old veteran looking for more accomplishments in his resume.

Fox News already anticipates a great battle between the two, while the New York Post is aware that the league is still a young man's game.

However, they are also quick to remind that the experience and savvy of Manning should help him and give him the much-needed advantage over Prescott.

They also questioned the man himself, whether playing with younger quarterbacks does anything to him.

"No, doesn't make me feel any older," Manning said. "So obviously that happens, and you have some rookies playing quarterback. It doesn't affect me so much."

Play with the pre-season is definitely different during the 16 league games. The match-ups are more intense, the contact is done with more purpose, and of course the pressure is higher.

However, it is still the stage where Manning should show that he is the team's most important player, and that should be on full display against a young gunner in Prescott.

Finally, for Manning, he knows enough to figure out that things are brand new this season.

In his 13th season in the league, Manning knows that this is the perfect time to start over as none of the teams have an advantage in the record, and they all have chances to get to their goal, the Super Bowl.
