Entering his eighth year in the league, former NBA MVP Derrick Rose believes that the moves the New York Knicks made are helping them become a force in the league.

According to the New York Post, Rose is eager to start training camp to finally play with his teammates as they have the frame of mind that they can win each and every game they play.

Talking to reporters, Rose claimed: "I just love the group. I think everybody is on the same page. I love the culture that [team president] Phil [Jackson] is creating. Just the organization and franchise, I love everybody that's working on it, and they seem like they're very excited for everything. That just rubs off on people."

Rose was moved over to the Knicks from the Chicago Bulls, with Joakim Noah following suit, to give the Knicks a loaded starting lineup of Rose, Noah, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

Add the arrival of Courtney Lee from the Memphis Grizzlies, the Knicks certainly have one of the strongest starting fives in the league.

As Rose's back-up, the Knicks also acquired Brandon Jennings to give them some firepower from the bench, and it has given Rose the firm belief that they are a strong team in the East.

In his statement, Rose also commented on his team's chances by claiming that they have a realistic chance of winning every game.

However, a lot of critics have taken Rose's comments lightly. Many are chuckling at the statements that Rose is making. The same people claim that the team only has a slim chance to fulfil the potential that Rose has set for them.

When it comes time to play on the court, all eyes will be on the Knicks as they try to prove everyone wrong.

Rose currently averages 19.7 points and 6.2 assists per game. Last year he averaged 16.4 points in 32 minutes of play. If he can find consistency in his game and stay healthy to remain on the floor, then he can lead the team to a surprise run.
