Japanese console manufacturer Nintendo is still very much quiet regarding its next generation console. The Nintendo NX has been in the rumor mill for so long already that fans are starting to wonder when the console is going to be revealed.

Predictions regarding the launch date vary. There are sources saying that the new console could make its debut during the fifth anniversary of Nintendo Direct, an online presentation produced by the Nintendo. An event for it is said to take place on Oct. 21. This led many to believe that it could also be the same time the NX would be unveiled.

A report cited that communications manager of Nintendo Canada, Andrew Collins, previously divulged that they will be using Nintendo Direct as a platform for the reveal of the console. He gave this information to Game Skinny but Since Collins isn't allowed to talk about the NX, it's said that this part of the interview was removed.

Now, fans continue to question the vital information. But so far, reports said the Nintendo NX console is likely to come around March 2017. As for the specs and features, rumor has it that the device will be a hand-held/home console hybrid.

It's also said that there will be three components overall. The first one is called a "dock," which includes a cartridge slot, HDD and a TV output. The second one is a "performance module" which is described as a self-powered portable device. The last component is the hand-held device itself, which is purported to sport a 6-inch screen with 720p resolution and low-TDP SoC.

Reports also suggest that the NX will be equipped with a version of Nvidia's Tegra chip. As of now, nothing is confirmed yet so fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on the Nintendo NX.
