Nintendo NX release date rumors 2016: To match PlayStation NEO, Xbox Two with improved GPU?

There is a tight competition among the giant electronic entertainment companies as Nintendo is rumored to develop a powerful console device that will outclass the other rumored consoles by Sony and Microsoft, namely the PlayStation NEO and Xbox Two. The Japan-based company has already announced earlier that they are currently working on their next project, dubbed as "Nintendo NX." Although there has been no official information regarding the possible release date and specs of the upcoming device, there are already rumors that Nintendo NX will boast a high-class GPU.

It has been reported that Nintendo NX can be expected to launch late 2016, although it is possible that the new console will be released next year to coincide with the new "The Legend of Zelda" game title. However, Nintendo users have known little to none regarding the capabilities of the new console, leaving the rest of the online community to speculate and search for their own reliable source. For one, the upcoming Nintendo console is rumored to be a hybrid device. This means that Nintendo NX will not only be the ordinary gaming console that the players can use to play their favorite video games at home. For the first time in the history of Nintendo, the company is rumored to launch Nintendo NX as a console device that can be transformed into a handheld gaming gadget. This would be an interesting and effective feature as some players like to continue enjoying their console games even if they are not in their homes.

Rumor has it that Nintendo is planning to build up NX as a superior device to go against PlayStation NEO that is rumored to be an updated version of PS4 with 4K screen resolution feature. Nintendo NX is also expected to rival Xbox Two next year. To make Nintendo NX as powerful as possible, it was reported that the console will use a modified version of Polaris GPU created by AMD. 

According to Mobipicker, Nintendo may be able to unveil the new console in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 next month. It is also likely that Nintendo NX will make an appearance during the Tokyo Game Show 2016.
