Nintendo Switch news: third-party accessories to be released in spring
Days before Nintendo conduct a live presentation for Nintendo Switch, a third-party firm unveiled a new line of accessories for the upcoming console.
The German consumer electronics firm Snakebyte announced that they will launch the "Nintendo Switch Starter Kit" and a headset sometime in spring, the expected release date of the latest gaming console system from the Japanese video game manufacturer.
The starter kit will reportedly include a pair of stereo earbuds, a screen protector, a cleaning cloth, game cases and control caps that will protect the soft rubber of the device's thumb sticks, as well as a carry bag. The Nintendo Switch Foldable Headset, on the other hand, comes with 40mm drivers. It is also reportedly ideal for traveling when using the portable option since it can fold to save storage space.
Snakebyte will also release two accessories for the re-released NES Classic Edition, including the power adaptor that will let users plug the device to any regular power outlet through its USB cord, as well as the Gamepad extension cable that can lengthen the short Gamepad cable for another 9.8 feet.
Nintendo has yet to reveal more details about the new Switch console during its upcoming live presentation straight from Tokyo on Thursday, Jan. 12. The gaming giant will reportedly discuss the details regarding the product's hardware. The price and official release date may also be revealed in the upcoming presentation.
Another report from The Star revealed that Ubisoft's "Beyond Good & Evil 2" will have a timed-exclusive release with the upcoming Nintendo Switch. It means that the sequel of the 2003 action-adventure game will come out first on Switch before it reaches the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players for a certain period of time.
Other game titles that will be released on Nintendo Switch include a new "Pokémon" game, "Just Dance 2017," and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," among others.
