The Nintendo Switch might possibly charge using a USB-C cable if the product listing from EB Games Australia turns out to be true.

The online video game retailer previously included the USB-C charging cable as one of the accessories for the new gaming console from Nintendo.

The retailer already took down the product listing, but TechnoBuffalo managed to take a screenshot that said: "USB-A to USB-C Charging Cable compatible with the Nintendo Switch Console."

If Nintendo will indeed feature a USB-C port and cable on their still-unreleased gaming console, this could mean that the Japanese game manufacturer wants their upcoming device to be on par with the other popular gadgets in the market today. Other devices that came out with the USB-C port and cable include the MacBook and MacBook Pro laptop line from Apple as well as Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Other speculated features of the upcoming Nintendo Switch gaming platform had been revealed by a post on NeoGAF. The list of leaked details includes four ARM Cortex-A57 cores with a maximum of 2 GHz, the second-generation Maxwell architecture from Nvidia, 256 CUDA cores with a maximum of 1 GHz and 1024 FLOPS/cycle.

It will also have 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 32 GB storage. The gaming console is also expected to have a 1,280 x 720 6.2-inch in-pane switching (IPS) LCD and 1,080p at 60 fps or 4k at 30 fps max video output as well as a 10-point multitouch Capacitance method.

While Nintendo has yet to confirm if the rumors are true, the gaming company revealed in a press release that the upcoming Nintendo Switch will give players the liberty to play video games where they feel most comfortable.

"Nintendo Switch allows gamers the freedom to play however they like," Nintendo of America COO Reggie Fils-Aime said. "It gives game developers new abilities to bring their creative visions to life by opening up the concept of gaming without boundaries," he added.

Nintendo Switch is expected to be released in March 2017.
