After several years of rumors and speculations, the highly anticipated release of the upcoming adventure survival video game, "No Man's Sky," has already been confirmed.

The indie studio Hello Games, the company that develops and publishes the game, has faced several issues during the development of "No Man's Sky" including a legal dispute over its name against the pan-European satellite broadcasting, Sky.

There was also the delay issue that certainly raised the ire of several fans. There were even some players who sent death threats to the team after hearing the reports that the game will be postponed.

The founder of the company, Sean Murray, recently posted a photo of him and his team confirming that "No Man's Sky," has already gone gold. This means that the game is already finished and there will be no delay again.

"It's happened. No Man's Sky just went gold. I'm so incredibly proud of this tiny team. 4 years of emotions," Murray wrote in a Twitter post.

Following the game's announcement by Hello Games in 2013, "No Man's Sky" has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the internet. There were contradicting reports online with regard to its development and release date; however, the company has done a wonderful job of hyping up the game until they announced that the title will come out in August 2016.

During its development, many fans thought that Hello Games' plan about the upcoming game is a little too ambitious. According to reports, players will have the opportunity to control their own spaceship as the game will allow them to fly around the universe to discover new planets and species. Gamers will also be able to upgrade their spaceship using the raw materials they found while exploring the new worlds.

Meanwhile, fans are certainly happy with the latest announcement from Hello Games. It's a sigh of relief knowing that the game will finally be released on Aug. 9.
