"The Late Late Show" host James Corden is set to join the ensemble cast of the upcoming movie "Ocean's Eight."

According to Deadline, Corden will be joining a star-studded cast in this spinoff of Steven Soderbergh's "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy. Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock will play the woman who assembles a crack team to rob blind her ex, portrayed by Damian Lewis. This band of crooks is composed of Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina, and Rihanna.

Among this stellar and talented cast, Corden will be taking on a supporting role in "Ocean's Eight," in which he will reportedly portray an insurance investigator who grows suspicious of the all-female crack team and will keep a close watch on their activities.

As reported by Coming Soon, the upcoming "Ocean's" film installment will be directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Gary Ross (directors of "Seabiscuit" and "The Hunger Games"), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Olivia Milch. The "Ocean's" trilogy director Steven Soderbergh along with Jon Kilik will be producing the movie. The film's executive producers include Michael Tadross, Sandra Bullock, Susan Ekins, Diana Alvarez, and Bruce Berman. Milch is also co-producing the film.

The spinoff movie is based on the three previous "Ocean's" films which had starred Hollywood A-listers such as Brad Pitt and George Clooney. These films were released in 2001, 2004, and 2007.

Aside from "Ocean's Eight," Corden, in the past, has appeared in other feature films. As reported by Variety, his feature credits include "The Lady in The Van," "Into the Woods," and "Begin Again." His voice is also credited on the film "Trolls" and will also be featured in upcoming movies like "The Emoji Movie" and "Peter Rabbit."

This coming February, "The Late Late Show With James Corden" host is also scheduled to host this year's Grammy Awards.

"Ocean's Eight" is scheduled for release sometime in the summer of 2018. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
