'Once Upon a Time' season 6 news, spoilers: Reason why Regina's heart remained black to be revealed
In "Once Upon a Time" season 6, Regina (Lara Parilla) has already split with her dark persona, the Evil Queen, yet it was revealed that her heart remained black.
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 is currently on break, and the series will return sometime in March. With its long break, the show has left its viewers with a lot of cliff-hangers, including if the prophecy of the Savior dying will be fulfilled and if Regina has a shot of happiness with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) now that he has returned.
Entertainment Weekly interviewed executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis where the media outlet asked them questions from fans on Twitter.
One of the questions was about Regina's heart being black even though she has separated herself from the Evil Queen.
The showrunners confirmed that more of her story will be featured in the season 6 return.
"We're actually going to fully get into what we've posed, which is can you separate the good from the bad, the dark from the light, or is it something that's inside us that we have to live with and deal with?" Kitsis explained.
"The condition of Regina's heart becomes very important," Horowitz added. Is it possible that Regina's heart condition is related to her feelings for Robin Hood?
Another question posed was if the Evil Queen's feelings for Robin Hood will be shown in at the back end of season 6. The showrunners confirmed that it will "100 percent" happen.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Jennifer Morrison will be leaving "Once Upon a Time" by the end of season 6.
This is because of the prophecy that Morrison's character will be killed off for being the Savior. Also, when the showrunners were asked if a character from the show could die without the possibility of ever coming back, they refused to give a definite answer.
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 returns in March 2017.
