'One Punch Man' season 2 premiere date and spoilers: 2nd installment to be announced in September?
"One Punch Man" is fast becoming one of the most widely anticipated Japanese animation series. Since the conclusion of the first season, fans have been wondering when the second season will commence. Currently, there are reports suggesting that season 2 will arrive as soon as the airing of the English-dubbed version has been completed. Other reports suggest that the series will be premiered in September.
According to Asia Starz, the announcement regarding season 2 premiere date will be made next month while the airing of the second installment episodes will begin around October or November. For months, series director Yusuke Murata said that their work on season 2 is ongoing giving fans a good reason to be excited. After speculations whether a second season is looming or not, Murata's statement offered fans something definite to hope for.
As reported by International Business Times, season 2 may be facing slight delays over its highly anticipated release as Murata also tries to fulfill his other commitments. The report says that the series creator is also involved in a number of projects which explains why no official release date has been announced yet.
Meanwhile, recent plot rumors suggest that Saitama's punching power will be put to the test in "One Punch Man" season 2. Per spoilers update by Parent Herald, the main character will reportedly lose his powers which making him helplessly vulnerable to attack by his enemies. The next installment is set to focus on Saitama's battle with Amai. Unfortunately, the protagonist will lose his signature attack as faces Amai in a showdown.
Moreover, his disciple Genos will reportedly leave him as both men go their separate ways. Although Genos has displayed an unquestionable display of loyalty to Saitama, there were clues that seemed to foretell a growing rift between them. In the upcoming seasons, the two may find themselves on the opposite sides of the battlefield someday.
