'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, spoilers: Blast will appear; Lord Boros defeats Saitama?
Given the success of the first season of the popular anime "One Punch Man," it's not surprising that fans are currently clamoring for Madhouse to release a season 2.
While Madhouse has yet to officially announce any plot details about the next season of "One Punch Man," there has nonetheless been a plethora of possible storylines going around.
One of these is the return of Blast, the top-ranking S-class hero who was first mentioned in episode 10 of the anime. According to CBR, because Blast only ever appears when he is absolutely needed, something exceptionally dark and dangerous is set to happen in "One Punch Man" season 2.
The outlet suggests that Saitama, Genos, and the rest of the Hero Association might have to deal with a force so powerful that they will have difficulty overcoming it. But, just when they need his help the most, Blast will return and save the day.
CBR also points out that this powerful enemy may be so strong that Saitama will be unable to defeat him with a single punch. So who could this ultra-strong adversary be?
In the first season, Lord Boros, who seemed to be a formidable villain, was nonetheless no match for Saitama. If he returns as this rumored adversary, he might not be enough of a threat to get Blast to come back.
But another highly speculated possibility is that Lord Boros will regain his regenerative abilities and come back with the power to withstand Saitama's punches. Should this be the case, Saitama may have to unleash his Serious Punch, the most powerful of all his punches, to stop Lord Boros.
In addition, iTechPost suggests that Saitama could face yet another enemy — the hero-turned-villain Amai Mask — in season 2.
"One Punch Man" aired its first season between October and December 2015. It is based on the popular ongoing Japanese webcomic of the same title.
Madhouse has yet to announce the official release date for "One Punch Man" season 2. It is nonetheless expected to debut sometime in 2017.
