OnePlus 4 release date, specs news & update: Rumored specs sheet trumps current and upcoming flagships
The OnePlus 4 will pack some serious power that should allow it to give the biggest flagships out there a run for their money, if the latest reports are anything to go by.
OnePlus always prides itself to be the home of "flagship killers" and it is beginning to show that the OnePlus 4 fits that ambitious designation pretty well.
It is being said that the China-based tech firm's next big thing will boast top-quality specifications and features, beginning with a whopping 8 GB RAM.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor can handle such insane amount of memory so media outlets are betting on the chipset powering up the OnePlus 4. Native storage amounting to 64 GB should complement this well.
With a set of such powerful hardware under the hood, the OnePlus 4 should have no trouble keeping the lights on a Quad high-definition 4K resolution display, which is said to be another one of its star features.
This puts it directly against the Samsung Galaxy S8, which is also expected to deliver the same resolution. However, the catastrophic release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 should play wall to OnePlus 4's advantage.
With regards to the camera on the OnePlus flagship, it will reportedly offer a 23-megapixel (MP) rear-facing shooter, which is a major improvement over its predecessor's 16 MP snapper.
Add to that the purported crystal-clear capture sensing of the camera. OnePlus, however, is expected to keep the same f/2.0 aperture lens. On the front should be an 8 MP selfie shooter.
Fans can also expect to see an improvement in the battery life department of the OnePlus 4. With superior specs, the OnePlus 4 is bound to be equipped with a massive 4000 mAh battery.
The OnePlus 4 is expected to be released around May next year, which would be a month early from the OnePlus 3's arrival, which took place June 2016.
